I had the Eames-ish sofa and the teak sideboard. The wall was still dead. These cats look like they wandered out of a 1959 catalog — black silhouettes, starbursts, that burnt-orange ground. Guests ask about them before they sit down.

I wanted that desert-modern feeling — pool, palms, pink stucco light — not a tourist print. The colors are dry and graphic. Hung over the credenza it reads collected, not themed.
